Max Eugene Songer, age 83 of Villas, NJ passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Cooper University Medical Center in Camden. He was born in Oblong, Illinois and came to Cape May area while serving in the US Navy in 1962 and his work detail was at Cape May Point. Max had worked as a truck driver for the Cape May Co. MUA for 21 years. He enjoyed playing softball in his younger years and enjoyed watching NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Gloria Songer; four stepchildren, Danielle, Samantha, Sandra and Jamie.
He also has 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Services are being held privately.
