James J. Haldeman, 80 of North Cape May, passed away on June 29, 2024 at his daughter's residence in Pennsauken after a very brave battle with lung cancer. He was born to Alcine and James E. Haldeman on February 20, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA. He resided there until he enlisted into the Army, where he worked as a printer and proudly served for 20 years. He enjoyed spending time at the ocean swimming and boating. He had a hobby of collecting boats including speed boats and house boats. He was also known to be a bit of a handyman tinkering and building things. After retirement, he settled in South Jersey with the love of his life of 30 years, Dina (Toledo) Haldeman. James is preceded in death by both of his parents as well as his grandson, Sean Donnelly (June 17, 2024). James was survived by his wife Dina, until she passed on July 4, 2024. He leaves behind his four children, Kim, James, Susan Quillin and Joshua, as well as his grandchildren Steven, James, Samantha, Summer, Mia and Tatiana. A graveside service with military honors will be held for James at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery at 1:00pm on July 13, 2024, where family and friends are invited to pay their respects. Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ 08260 has been entrusted with arrangements.
