Obituary of Kathleen M. McMahon

Kathleen Mae McMahon (nee. Emrich), was born May 12th, 1953 to parents Isabel and William Emerich. As one of eleven children, she quickly grew to enjoy time spent around her large family on their farm in Pitman, New Jersey. After graduating from Pitman High School, she met her first husband Thomas Conway, with whom she shared her wonderful eldest son of the same name. Having so many siblings gave her the opportunity to spread her wings over the country, and she spent time in Florida, Colorado and California before settling back in New Jersey with her first true love, Joseph "Mickey" McMahon. The two ran several successful businesses, and raised 2 more beautiful children. Later, she moved to Delaware, where for a while she lived with her son Mickey who shared her love for the outdoors. Kathy enjoyed beach walks with her sister Patty, magazines and trinkets sent from her sister Helen, and a good ice cream sundae. All three of her sons were her pride and joy, especially Michael who devoted himself to making sure she was comfortable, happy and well fed in her final years. Kathy is survived by her sons Thomas (Megan), Mickey (Matt), and Michael (Dawn), grandchildren Deane and Sarah, sisters Helen, Patty, Lynnie, Mary, Isabelle, Margie, and many close friends and family who have shown her love and many happy Holidays in her final years. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at Evoy funeral home in North Cape May on Sunday, June 23rd at 1pm. Please wear your favorite, colorful outfits, and come with a memory or reading to share.
