Obituary of Janet Munz
Please share a memory of Janet to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Janet Munz, 78, entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 30th at Autumn Lake Heathcare at Oceanview where she had been a guest since May 8th.
Born in Philadelphia July 14, 1945, she was the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Dowbenko) Kinkaid. As a child she enjoyed spending her summers at the shore and staying at her parent's home in North Wildwood.
Janet graduated from Jefferson Nursing School and became a registered nurse. She was last employed by Burdette Tomlin Hospital, Cape May Court House as a labor & delivery nurse and prior to working in obstetrics, she worked in the ICU.
She loved all animals, but she had a fondness for yellow labrador retrievers. She believed in animal rescue and volunteered her time along with her granddaughter Sydney.
Janet was a very spiritual person who would go out of her way to help people. She was a friend to all she would meet and would always see the good in people.
Known to be a bit conservative and refined, she had a sense of humor that none of her family could match. She also had a great appreciate of music, her favorite artist being Barry Manilow. A true "Fanilow", Janet had seen Barry several times.
Janet is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Mark); grandchildren Liam, Sydney, Jacob, Joshua and Zachary; sister Carol; and many dear friends.
Private Graveside Services will be held at Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Janet's life will be announced at a later date. Evoy Funeral Home 32318 Bayshore Road has been entrusted with arrangements.
To honor Janet's memory donations may be made to the Animal Welfare Society of Cape May County.
