John P. Gilmore II, 70, was taken from this earthly world, Sunday, May 26 at his residence. Born October 11, 1953 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John P., Sr. and Caroline T. (Needles) Gilmore. He was a graduate of Jules E. Mastbaum High School, Philadelphia. He retired as a truck driver from McLane Food Service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters Valerie Gilmore (2017) and Theresa M Gilmore (February 14, 2024). John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Julia (nee Glaser); sons John Paul III husband of Krystin and Eric husband of Ruth Ann. His legacy will continue to live on in his grandchildren Francis (Frankie), Skye, Rayne, Demetri, Vito, Enoch (Angelo) and Mariah Clark; Layla, John Paul IV, Cameron, Eric, Logan and Gabriella (Gabby) Gilmore; Brittany, Jackie, Bryan and Steven Gilmore. He is also survived by a brother Thomas husband of the late Lisa Gilmore; nieces and nephews Samantha, Christina, Michael and Abigail; as well as many friends. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Saturday, June 1st from 1PM until the time of service at 2:30 at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ 08204. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
