Robert S. Harmon

May 30, 1949 – May 18, 2024

Robert S. Harmon, age 74, passed away peacefully May 18, 2024.

Bob was born and raised in Darby, PA and was a longtime resident there until 2002, when he retired from Philadelphia Electric Co. after 34 years of service and moved to Cape May NJ.

After his retirement he worked at a marina in Wildwood, NJ and then for a friend in the landscaping business.

Bob was kind and caring and was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand to all his friends and neighbors. He was the life of the party and enjoyed making people laugh.

He enjoyed cheering on the Phillies, Eagles and 76ers.

Bob had many hobbies over the years. He had a Corvette Funny car which he raced at many of the drag racing strips in PA, NJ and Delaware.

He loved fishing on his boat in Cape May. He also loved listening to music and could often be heard singing tunes from his favorite artist Frank Sinatra, especially "My Way".

He built a Harley Davidson Trike which he and his wife would enjoy riding around the Shore Towns.

An avid hunter, Bob was proud to have been able to bag a moose in Maine, a bear in upstate Pennsylvania and many deer. They enjoyed eating his many harvests, but not so much the bear.

He loved animals and always had Beagles from the time he was out of High School until recently.

Bob was predeceased by his dear parents Robert H. and Edith Harmon.

He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa (Terry) of 47 years by whom he will be so deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4 to 6PM Tuesday, May 28 at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ 08204 and Wednesday, May 29 from 10-10:45 AM at the Parish of St. John Neumann Church of St. John of God 680 Townbank Road North Cape May. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM with Rev. Jamie King, Off. Interment will be held Thursday, May 30 at Holy Cross Cemetery 626 Baily Road Yeadon PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the ASPCA.
