Edward T. Newell, 80 of Villas, NJ, passed on May 15, 2024.
He was born on October 19, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph and Rose Newell where he later became a police officer for 27 years.
He married Catherine Metzger in 1965 and the two of them had three children: Edward Jr., Janeen, and Denise.
In 2002, Ed and Catherine moved to the shore permanently, where Ed became a security officer for Cape Regional Medical Center, and the two began enjoying their time here.
Ed is preceded in death by both of his parents.
He is survived by his wife, his three children, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
His internment will be held on Tuesday May 28, 2024 at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery at 1:00pm.
