Anne Marie Gudknecht age 81 of Cape May Court House, NJ passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday May 11, 2024, surrounded by her children. Anne is survived by her brother Robert Weidner, her children Arlene Vogt, Bobby Gudknecht and Carol Fritz. Her grandchildren Janine Berrell, Olivia, Kyle, Nicholas and great-grand children August and Chloe.

Visitation will be held Wednesday May 15, 2024 at the Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Rd, N. Cape May, NJ at 11:30am. Funeral Service will be at 12:30 pm with Pastor Jeff Elliott officiating.

Anne was born in Philadelphia to Raymond S. Weidner and Anna Mae (nee Pryor) Weidner on November 2, 1942 where she spent most of her life. She graduated Frankford High School in 1960. She married her husband Robert Gudknecht in 1960, after which they had a long happy life together. She went on in 1980 to earn a nursing degree at Einstein School of Nursing.

She worked at Frankford Hospital as an operating room nurse for over 20 years. In her retirement, she would volunteer at Cape Reginal Hospital.

She enjoyed boating, camping and travel. But most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
