Obituary of Grace Greene Paynter

Please share a memory of Grace to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Grace Paynter Greene née Koehler (94) aka; Momma G, Amazing Grace. Mother, surrounded by family, passed peacefully in her sleep on April 09,2024, marking the end of her battle with an extended illness. She was born March 21, 1930, and was a proud homemaker who had great love for her family. She looked forward to our family's weekly Sunday morning coffee dates at her house. During those Sunday meetings, she would collect everyone's clothing, blankets, curtains, or any other materials that required mending on her sewing machine, and return them promptly repaired, and pressed, the following week. She enjoyed going to yard sales with her daughters and daughters in law. Taking rides around town and telling stories of our families history were also cherished events that never grew old. Mother was predeceased by her husband Allen Greene, sons, Jerry (Carol) and Kenneth Greene, grandson Joey Sargent (Sonya), husband Jack Paynter. She is survived by daughters Judith (John) Bowen, Karen (Kevin) Campbell, sons, Michael (Sandy) Greene, Patrick (Deborah) Greene, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be private. The family asks in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to a local charity of your choice.
