Obituary of John W. Hearn

John W. Hearn of Rio Grande, NJ passed away on March 31, 2024 at Cape Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. John was born in Philadelphia and was the son of the late John & Josephine Hearn (Schumacher). John married the love of his life Joan A. Hearn (Meehl) on May 12, 1956 and went on to have three (3) sons, Jeffrey W. Hearn, the late Christopher J. Hearn and Bryan M. Hearn. John and Joan lived in Philadelphia until they retired in Rio Grande, NJ in 2003. John served in the Army for a few years before landing a job with the Philadelphia Fire Department in 1960. John went on to serve 25 years with the Fire Department and retired in 1985. John is survived by his wife, Joan (Meehl), his sons Jeffrey (Joan) and Bryan (Kim), his five (5) grandchildren, Christopher (Chanthavy), Shawn (Andrea), Kevyn (Ellie), Evan (Jenna) and Lindsay (Jake), five (5) great grandchildren, James, Avery, Amersyn, Nathan, Jack and his sister, Joanne Phillip (Slattery). His whole life was devoted to his family, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. A Memorial Service for John will be held at Georgine's Restaurant located at 1320 Newport Road, Bristol, PA 19007 on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 starting at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
