Obituary of Robert Henry Fisher

Robert H. Fisher, age 83, of Vilas NJ, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. Bob was a proud Army Veteran. He joined the Philadelphia Fire Department in 1962 and had an outstanding career as a Fireman and Fire Lieutenant until he retired in 2003 with 41 years of service. He was also deeply involved with AA where he was also a friend and mentor to many during his 38 years of sobriety. Bob was a beloved husband to his wife of 56 years, Edith. He will also be dearly missed by his children Christopher (Sharon), Elizabeth Grone, Loren McHugh (Greg); his grandchildren Jordyn, Lily, Fynn, Eden, Elvin, Robert, Shawn and Shannon; great grandchildren Riley and Shawn; his sisters Geraldine Burns (Robert) and Laurie Musial. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews as well as his many friends. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 8:30AM to 10:30AM Friday, April 19 at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ 08204. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM at the Parish of St. John Neumann, Church of St. John of God 680 Town Bank Road North Cape May. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Robert.
