Obituary of Carl H. Blessing

Carl H. Blessing, age 82 of Fishing Creek passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the Cape Reg. Med. Center. He was born in Philadelphia PA, raised in Narberth, PA , formerly of Lansdowne, PA and has been a Cape May Co. resident since the early 1990's. Carl had worked for the Franklin Mint for 25 years as a Metalurgical Engineer. He later worker for Snow's Food Products in Cape May and lastly worked for Cape May Co. Meals on Wheels. Carl had belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Lansdowne, PA and the Benjamin Franklin Consistory 32nd degree in Philadelphia.. He also was a member of the Villas Fishing Club, and the Greater Cape May Elks Lodge #2939 (Villas). Carl enjoyed gardening, was an animal lover including dogs, horses, chickens and cats. Carl was preceded in death by his first wife Virginia Blessing. He is survived by his wife Sara Jane Blessing; three sons, Curtis (Kathy) Blessing, Glenn (Cathleen) Blessing and Carl (Barbara) Blessing; a stepson Raymond (Melissa) Garrison; four sisters, Eleanor (Earl) Musteller, Emily Buate, Lorraine (George) Rubin, Victoria Bartlof; grandchildren, Danielle, Curtis "Buddy", Miichael, Ryan, Eric, Jake and Stephen A funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, March 30, 2024at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, N. Cape May, NJ where relatives and friends will be received from 10 to 11 am. Burial will follow at the Cold Spring Cemetery. Contributions in his memory can be made to the Shriners Hospital of Philadelphia
