Madeline Frith, 72, a 6-year resident of the Villas, formerly of Philadelphia entered into eternal rest Wednesday, January 31 at Pelican Pointe where she had been a guest since October.
Born June 25, 1951 in Philadelphia, she was one of 7 daughters born to the late Alan and Ella (Anderson) Shepard.
She graduated with her LPN and worked for over 47 years in the medical field. She worked at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia for 20 years and then retired from Einstein Medical Center after 20 plus years. She was last employed as a lactation consultant.
She attended St. Barnabas by the Bay Episcopal Church, Villas. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and spending time with her husband of 51 years, William.
Known for her love of the color purple, she was earned the nickname "Eggplant". If it wasn't purple, it wasn't perfect.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons Bill and Alan; and sisters Eileen and Jeannie.
Madeline will forever be missed by her husband William; daughter-in-law Cindy wife of Bill, daughter-in-law Nicole wife of Alan, daughter Candace wife of Rich; grandchildren Emma, Walker, Lincoln, Julia, Richie, Hayden, and Bennet. She will also be missed by her sisters, who referred to her as Madge, Ella Amrie, Catherine, Violet and Andrea; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in Philadelphia and be announced in the near future. Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May has been entrusted with arrangements.
