Obituary of Timothy James Shriver

Timothy James Shriver, Sr., 66, passed away on February 11, 2024 at Atlanticare-Mainland Division. Timothy was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and was a resident in Cape May County for over 40 years. He was a graduate of Father Judge H.S. in Philadelphia and after moving to Cape May County he worked for Cape Island Foods and was a bartender at The Villas Fishing Club. Timothy was a very giving person who volunteered his time and helped out at local youth sports leagues. He was a significant influence on those he coached especially those at the Lower Cape May Hockey League. Tim loved to fish on boats, grilling and eating out, antique cars and was an over-the-top avid Eagles and Flyers fan. He especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews Jake, Laura, Aidan and Reid. Tim was a member of The Greater Cape May Elks, Stella Maris Home Association, Villas VFW and Villas Fishing Club. He is predeceased by his father, Richard. Tim is survived by his son Timothy J. Shriver, Jr., his mother Dolores Shriver, his siblings Richie (Beth), Kenny, Billy, and Chrissy (Lisa), his devoted girlfriend of 3 years Anne Marie McCullough and many other nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Villas Fishing Club with the visitation from 11-12 and the service at 12noon.
