Obituary of Johneen DeNoto

Johneen Frances DeNoto, 84, Villas, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Cape Regional Medical Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. Born March 29, 1939 in Camden NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Frances (Warner) Downes. Johneen's favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. They brought so much joy into her life. They learned from her and in turn she learned from them. She enjoyed bird watching, being outside especially during the summer when she would tend to her gardens. She also enjoyed doing puzzles and absolutely loved lottery scratch offs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Thomas DeNoto (February 23, 2010); daughter Lois; brother John V. Downes and sister Frances Downes. She is survived by her 4 children Wendy Danser (Steve), Thomas "TJ" DeNoto, Jr. (Bobbie), David DeNoto and Lisa DeNoto (John). Her spirit will live on in her 14 grandchildren Russell, Wendy, Steven, Tommy, Frankie, Michelle, Diedra, John, Jesse, Matthew, Lauren, Erica, Charles and Brittany; and her many great and great-great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her best friend, her cat Bello. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 10AM-11AM at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 11AM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
