The amount of great memories and stories I am fortunate enough to have made with Big Dave are endless. Over twenty years of laughing, crying, joking, and celebrating with Big Dave taught me more then I ever realized. As one of Philadelphia’s biggest sports fans he took a young dumb Dallas Cowboys fan and welcomed him into his family and like one of his own. Wasn’t long after that I got rid of the blue star and started chanting fly eagles fly! As a kid he helped coach us to championships and took us to Phillies games. As an adult he became a teammate and a mentor. I can’t count the number of friends who always knew that when in trouble or feeling down Big Dave and Karen’s doors were open. He was the ultimate family man who made everyone lucky enough to know him feel like part of his own! I could never thank him enough for all the things he showed me in this life and the great times we shared. Cheers to you Big Dave! Thanks for letting some dumb Cowboys fan from around the corner be a part of the family!
