Stewart Edward Chace, Villas, was called to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, January 12 at Cape Regional Medical Center.
Born September 30, 1948 in Glenside CA, he was the son of the late Stewart F. Chace and Ruth (Hughes) Hopkins.
A disabled Veteran, Stewart proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Parish of St. John Neumann Church of St. John of God where he had served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member of the Knights of Coumbus- St. John Neumann Council 3546, the Msgr. Moroney Assembly- 671 and the Holy Name Society. He had a strong faith in God and believed in the power of prayer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Ann (Gillespie)Chace (2019).
Stewart will be forever missed by his wife Rookmanie Davie Chace whom he married July 25, 2023; step daughter Deomattie; nephew Jeffrey Spelman; and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 17 at 11 AM at the Parish of St. John Neumann Church of St. John of God 680 Townbank Road North Cape May. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10AM until the time of Mass. Interment with Military Honors will be held Monday, January 22 at 11AM on the grounds of the Cape May Veteran's Cemetery. Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road has been entrusted with arrangements.
