Obituary of Lorraine E. Maffei

Lorraine Maffei, 63 of Villas NJ, passed away peacefully on 11/23/2023 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Lorraine, born 7/12/1960, brought joy and laughter to the world. She graduated from John W Hallahan Catholic Girls High School and spent time as a licensed practical nurse and a chambermaid, most recently at the Seacrest Inn in Cape May, NJ. Lorraine had a love of all animals as well as gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved walking along the bay with her metal detector and amassed quite the collection of found treasures. Lorraine was fiercely devoted to her family and always made everyone laugh. She is survived by her daughter Kristin Bongard and partner Jim Pettit, son Robert (Beth) Bongard, grandchildren Seth and Violet, her mother Eileen Tozour (Kenny), brothers Bob (Susan) and Gary Lepak, sister Kathleen (Edward) Boruta, her many nieces, nephews, cousins and her faithful dog Cali. Lorraine was predeceased by her father, Alexander Lepak, and husband Richard Maffei. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Lorraine’s name to The Cape May County Animal Welfare Society.
