Spatola, Nancy G. (nee Gomersall), 94 of Cape May N.J. went home to her lord on Monday October 30, 2023 at the Pelican Pointe Rehab Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was born in Philadelphia Pa, on September 4, 1929. She was a longtime resident of King

of Prussia PA before moving to Somers Point, and then to Cape May. She was the daughter of

George and Gladys Gomersal and the sister to Patricia (Gomersall) King. As a child growing up

Nancy’s family moved frequently. She lived for a time in Princeton NJ, where her father

operated a men’s clothing store, but also on a sheep ranch in Casper Wyoming, that her

parents had purchased. Nancy attended over 10 different schools in numerous locations before

graduating from Friends Central in Philadelphia.

Nancy was a gifted illustrator, and had a strong interest in fashion and textile design. She also

enjoyed boating with her husband in NJ and Maryland for many years, and playing tennis with

her many friends in the King of Prussia area.

Nancy’s greatest love was her family. She will be greatly missed and in our hearts each and

every day. She is survived by the love of her life, husband James V. Spatola II, to whom she was married to for 74 years. Nancy was a devoted mother and is also survived by her three

children; James V. Spatola III, Terry S. Carr, and Carolyn J. Beam. She was blessed with three

grandchildren; Dylan J. Beam, Michael W. Spatola, and Gabriella J. Spatola. She also had two

great-grandchildren; Carson J. Beam, and Bradley J. Beam.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on. Monday, November 6, 2023.at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May NJ where relatives and friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM.
