Obituary of Anthony V DeLong

Anthony V. DeLong, 81, Villas, lost his battle with laryngeal cancer Saturday, October 7 at Cooper University Medical Center, Camden. Born January 21, 1942 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Anthony W. and Josephine (Heller) DeLong. He graduated from North Catholic High School, Philadelphia. He was a machinest and a tool and die maker by trade. Most recently he worked at Morey's Piers in Wildwood. Tony enjoyed woodworking, gardening, crabbing along the bay and taking walks on the beach with his wife Josephine. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Vince and a daughter Michelle. Anthony is survived by his wife of over 45 years, Josephine (DiMartino); children Anthony husband of Patty, Nick husband of Katie, Angel wife of Chaz, Vicky, Mike husband of Erica, Ben husband of Lisa, Joe husband of Erin, Andy husband of Adria, Jimmy husband of Christine, and Jason fiancée of CarolAnn. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; a sister Theresa and brothers John, Joe and Nick; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 14 at 12:30PM at the Parish of St. John Neumann Church of St. Raymond 800 Bayshore Road Villas. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects 10AM-Noon Saturday at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
