James J. "Cook" Dalton, 71, entered into eternal rest unexpectedly Saturday, September 30 at his residence in the Villas.
Born February 4, 1952 in Philadelphia, James was the son of the late James J. and Frances (Reichert) Dalton. As a child his mother would call him "Cookie". That nickname would follow him the 71 years of his life.

Cook as he was affectionately known, recently retired from the automotive industry as a transmission specialist. He was last employed at the former Al's transmissions, Chester PA.
After retirement, Cook and his wife Cathy made their summer home in the Villas their permanent residence. The two enjoyed traveling and camping. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year and decided to travel across the United States. They camped and hiked in the mountains of Glacier National Park and even visited the island of Mauii. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and had a true zest for life.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother William.
Cook will forever be missed by his wife Kathleen (Donovan); son Jason husband of Sophia and their children Edmund, Phoebe, Holly, and James Daniel; son Eric and his son Wesley; daughter Emily Coldren wife of John and their children Chase, Brayden, Bryce and Tyler. He is also survived by a sister-in-law Kathy Dalton and several nieces and nephews.
