He was a man of many admirable qualities. Known for his delightful sense of humor, strong community involvement and exceptional professionalism. Throughout his life he nurtured a profound love for fishing and enjoyed going hunting with his beloved birddogs.
Bobs aptitude for managing situations and helping others led him to pursue a career as a Funeral Director for over 55 years. Licensed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, he skillfully managed the Oliver-Bair Inc. Funeral Homes in both Philadelphia and Camden counties before coming to assist Wyn Evoy of Evoy Funeral Homes in Cape May, NJ. He retired in 2006 after 60 years of service.
Bob was very active in his community. He was a member of the West Jersey Funeral Directors Association, New Jersey State and National Funeral Directors Associations, Sea Isle City Rotary, Roatan Club of Dennis Township and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary FLO-82 of Cape May, NJ, as well as being a past president of the Lions Club.
Alongside his wife, Louise, he co-founded and managed the F.A.S.T Company, offering various funeral services, including prayer cards and the scattering of ashes at sea.
He generously employed his medical training and professional training in Eye Enucleation, assisting the Wills Eye Institute in restoring eyesight to those in need, and lent his voice to local organizations, passionately advocating for the importance of eye donations.
Bob is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years and best friend, Louise "Lou Lou" (nee Olsen) Krause. He leaves behind a loving legacy as a devoted father to Eric (Mary) of Sugar Hill, GA and Greg (Juanita) of Moyock, NC, his wonderful grandchildren, Erin, Matthew, Zachary and Andrew and adored greatgrandchildren Theodore and Juliette.
