Obituary of Mary C. Olden

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary Catherine Olden was born to the late Thomas Meaney and Mary Ellen Meaney (nee Devine) in Philadelphia, PA. Her mother passed when she was 2 years old, but with the help from family, she was raised between homes. Ellenor Tait and Patrica Barsello were major role models in Mary's upbringing. When Mary was 17, her father passed away. She ended up moving to the shore house he'd built with his mother. This is where she began her beautiful family. While starting her family, she became an L.P.N. and was a long-time employee of the Woodbine State School. She made many wonderful friends and even had a "partner-in-crime" at work: Dawn Adams-Tisq. She is predeceased by 4 children: Theresa, Matthew, Bernadette and Mary Olden. Mary leaves behind a loving husband, John P. Olden, 2 daughters, Heather (Tom) Messick, Angela (Terry) Horner, 4 grandchildren: Christopher Messick, Mickela (Shawn) Messick-Chester, Summer Rain Chester and Alyssa Cassidy, and 1 great grandson, Shawn Wing Jr. Mass of Christian burial will be held for Mary at St. Raymonds, 800 Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ, 08251, Tuesday August 8, with a viewing at 10am-11am, and a mass at 11am. Her burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cold Spring, will be after. There will be a luncheon after at the Fishing Club in Villas, immediately following the burial that is open to all.
