Michael Girard, 59, of Cape May Court House, passed away on July 2nd, 2023 after a strong fight against Lung Cancer. Michael was born on May 18th, 1964 to parents Robert Girard and Barbara Bitting in Philadelphia. After Michael graduated from Lower Township High School in 1983, he worked at the Lower Township MUA as a Water and Sewer Repairman completing a 30 year career in June 2018. In 2009, Michael married his wife Sherry Girard. Michael was a hobbiest who enjoyed fixing and restoring old cars, motorcycles, and other mechanical equipment. Michael loved the outdoors, going on camping trips with his friends and family, and making people laugh. He also deeply loved animals, especially his pet dogs and cats. Michael was predeceased by Robert Girard (Father). He is survived by his very large and loving family. Sherry Girard (wife), Matthew (Lauren) and Nicholas Carino (Sons), Elle Carino (Granddaughter), Barbara and Chuck Bitting (Mother and Stepfather), Bob (Bonnie) Girard (Brother), Barbara (Tony) Alliano (Sister), Tom (Daria) Girard (Brother), and many, many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held at Evoy Funeral Home on Thursday July 6th, 2023 from 11am to 1pm followed by a service at 1 PM. Afterwards, a memorial gathering will be held at the Villas Fishing Club where a luncheon will be served.
