Elizabeth (Betty) Frazer Beam of Newark, DE, age 94, passed away June 19th, in Cape May Court House, NJ. A native Delawarean, Betty was born July 31, 1928, the daughter of Ernest and Helen (Hammer) Frazer. She was a graduate of Henry C. Conrad High School and Goldey- Beacom College. She held a number of secretarial positions, beginning at the Wilmington Central YMCA, later with the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission near Aiken, SC, then with a legal firm in Wilmington, and finally as Engineering Department Secretary at Avon Products in Newark, retiring in 1993 after 23 years of service there. She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Newark, and is survived by her daughter Ann Beam Leahy of Cape May Court House, NJ, and her husband Paul Greer and Ann's three children, Mandy, Christopher and Carrie. Also surviving is her son Randy, of Atlanta, GA, and his wife Karen and their three children, Lauren, Lindsey and Logan. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 7th at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 525 Polly Drummond Hill Road, Newark, DE. Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00am and service immediately following. In Betty's memory contributions may be made to The Brandywine Valley, SPCA, 600 South Street New Castle DE 19720.
