Obituary of Susan Joan Burba

Susan J. Burba (nee Hedge) Daughter of James and Daisy Hedge. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, as well as two of her brothers Daniel and Martin Hedge. Sue is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Albert B. Burba, and brother John Hedge. She was a loving mother to Jamie (Kristine) Friel, David (Rebecca) Friel, daughter-in-law Colleen wife of the late Albert Burba, Margaret (William) Trainer, Andrea (Vito) Macrina. Her grandchildren are Cameron (Emily), Alec, Kyle, Carter, Francesca (Tom), Kathryn, Peter (Nicole), Zachary (Kylie), Molly, Matthew and Jack and great grandchildren; Aliyah and Rowan. She also leaves behind Missy, her very loyal dog. Sue was an avid gardener, loved nature's beauty, and enjoyed spending time with her family whom she loved deeply. Sue was fortunate to have had another family in her life, her AA family. Over the last 35 years, she has helped many to find not only sobriety, but serenity and courage to live it out. She was fierce but incredibly respected. She will be missed by so many. We were blessed to have had her in our lives. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 1PM to 2PM Thursday, May 25 at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ 08204. Funeral services will be held at 2PM. Interment is private and at the convenience of the family.
