Obituary of Michael Joseph Erb

Michael J. Erb of Villas, NJ, passed away suddenly yet peaceful on May 9th, 2023. Michael was born on the 21st of June in 1980 to Howard and Joyce (nee Frank) Erb, in Philadelphia, PA. Later on in his life, he married Bernadette (nee DeLong) in 2005 and had two incredible children, Mikey aka buddy and Dette aka honey. For the last 25 years, Michael worked for Lower Cape May Regional High School as a groundskeeper and custodian. His love of art inspired him to open a family business named Artist on the Rocks. He had such a passion for all collectibles, toys, nostalgia, memorabilia, the 80's era, anything Disney, and loved being a Duke's Boy. He prided himself on being an amazing father. He is preceded by his father Howard, his brother Kevin Sides (Desiree), and his Aunt Jane Ticher. Michael is survived by his wife Bernadette and two kids Dette and Mikey, his mother Joy Erb-Madden (James), his siblings Erica Aber (Glenn), Marc Erb (Janice), and his brother by heart Paul Schreader (Brynn), as well as many aunts, uncles, in-laws, godchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who were more like siblings, and friends who became family. In lieu of flowers, donation to The Michael Erb Children's fund, c/o T.D. Bank, 340 W. Rio Grande Ave., Wildwood, NJ, 08260, or the Go Fund Me would be greatly appreciated. All are invited to his services, where friends and family may call between 6:00pm-8:00pm on Sunday May 14th, and 12:00- 2:00pm, on Monday May 15th, at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ, 08204. Michael would love if everyone in attendance would wear a shirt with their favorite cartoon, tv, movie, car or comic book character on it.
