Obituary of Mark D. Kane

Mark D. Kane, 70 of North Cape May, NJ, sadly passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, surrounded by his family at Cooper Hospital in Camden. Mark was born on the 23 of April in 1953 to Harry and Pauline Kane, in Cape May Court House. He went on to graduate from Wildwood High school and he was a longtime resident of Cape May County, as well as Belhaven, North Carolina. Later, he became a heavy machine operator with the Local 825 Operating Engineers, was an employee of Kane Corporation, a partial owner of K & K Construction, and an owner of Pungo Creek Bar & Marina in North Carolina. Mark loved boats, Harleys, Sundays watching the Eagles, and NASCAR; Kyle Larson (Chevrolet) being his favorite. He is preceded by his parents: Harry and Pauline Kane, brothers: Harry Kane II (Peggy) and Thomas Kane (Linda), and sister: Christine (Holly) Bogaert. He is survived by his two daughters: Kristie Rinier (Joe) and Katie Kane-Baker (Aaron), his grandchildren: Shane Rinier Jr., Liam Rinier and Hannah Baker and his brother Eric Kane (Terry). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, ex-wives, and his North Carolina family. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023, at 11am at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore rd, North Cape May, NJ. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10am to time of service.
