Q: What 3 words best describe Anthony and why?
A: Loving, Kind Sportsman and devoted Family Man
We Love You Uncle Ney.
It is difficult to imagine that the bright, loving, warm, gentle, and kind light of Uncle Ney has gone to Heaven.
I know that all of his children, his grandchildren, his sister Linda, his nieces and nephews and dear friends wouldn't mind if Uncle Ney could remain with us forever. We enjoyed every minute we shared with you Uncle Ney and adore you.
Uncle Ney was a pleasant, kind, considerate, respectful, man who just seemed to love everyone, and had open arms for all. Uncle Ney could always find the light in the dimmer times, and was grateful for good Italian food, a baseball game, his favorite game of golf, and sitting home with family, listening and guiding, and sometimes sneaking in a little nap.
At Holidays, we all felt fortunate to sit with Uncle Ney, as he was a very likeable man, warm, and sometimes could tell a good joke, if you didn't miss it. Uncle Ney, you always dressed for church, even when you were working. You always looked so happy and handsome. Christopher always stood so tall, next to you. He was so proud to have an
great Uncle like you.
Uncle Ney, you taught me how to open walnuts at the table, without making a mess, how to open presents one side at a time, instead of from the middle. How to sit tall at the dining room table. and how to make sure that everyone made it to dinner even if we had to go get everyone, because as your traditions stood, we should all be at the dinner table together.
One memory that will live with me always, is I will never forget the image of a hard hit fast, line drive down the 3rd base line, that skipped over the hard infield dirt, coming right at me as I walked across the short outfield. In a flash, You ran and scooped that line drive right up, and threw it home. for the out. And you saved me from a big blue mark. I never saw anyone more that swiftly. It was beautiful.
Doing the right thing, all the time, caring about others all the time, is who you were, naturally.
We will miss you so much, but will find strength in your eternal love for us, and our eternal love for you.
I know they play baseball in Heaven, and I can see you at 3rd base, short stop or 2nd base, and man can you run. No balls ever got by you Uncle Ney.
Thank you for the honor of the wonderful times and memories that live on in my heart for you Uncle Ney.
We love you 4ever.
Tracey, Sean and Chris

Dear Ney:
God called your name
And you went His way,
So, you aren't here
To share this day.
We will all miss you!
This void will never cease,
But, we'll find relief,
Knowing that you are at
peace.
We'll think of you, the joys
and laughter
Bringing on a hearty smile.
You've taken a much
deserved rest
For a while.
So, we won't ponder
On the pains and sorrow,
We'll keep your memory
In every tomorrow.
We'll imagine the Grand
Reunion
In Heaven, above
United, happy, with so many
That you've missed and
dearly Love
A permanent Gift to you.
In our lifetime,
You've always held a special
part
We will know how to find you,
Because, we hold you, forever
In our loving heart.
God blessed us, with you
God bless you
With Love,
Gemma

Q: How did you meet Anthony?
A: You came home from work at the golf course and lo and behold we had news for you. As Tony Junior set behind me, I handed you a surprise. It was our marriage license! You read it, looked at me, stood up and gave me a big hug and said welcome to the family. 26 years ago when my dad died I remember talking to you and telling you that you were the only dad I had left. So through good times and some really bad times you were always there. You were the life of the party and everyone knew that on Christmas Eve at our Feast of the 7 Fishes you were ready to make a highball. We had our moments as all families do but in the end we loved each other. 20 years ago you came to live with us, and those are memories and moments that we live in our hearts forever. My children were fortunate enough to call you pop pop and I was fortunate enough to call you dad. We will love you forever.

Grew up in Villas with young Tony and knew Mr. Funari in my young teenage years. He was my first boss out of high school at Ponderlodge. He treated me with respect and dignity and was very generous, that was something I never forgot. Thank you Mr. Funari for helping me in my early life, I believe you made a positive impact that lasted years. My condolences to the family.
