Obituary of John Patrick Hawn

John Patrick Hawn, age 72 of Sewell, NJ passed away suddenly on Friday February 3, 2023 at his home. He was born in Martinsburg, WV where he was raised and resided before coming to NJ in 1965. He served his country in the US Marines during the Vietnam War (1970-1971). John had worked for Boeing manufacturing helicopters, did custodial work for Woodbury Public Schools, owned and operated a Lawncare business and lastly had worked as an Uber driver. He was a member of Hope Assembly of God in Newfield, NJ. John enjoyed bowling, traveling and playing rummy especially with his grandkids.
John was preceded in death by his parents Richard Wayne Hawn and Genevieve Marie (nee Jackson) Hawn. He leaves his beloved wife of 10 years Gloria R. (nee Simmons) Hawn; children, Tina Bridda, Donna Hawn Lanning and Sandi Hawn Harvey ; step-children, Kimberly Peña and Andrea Forte; numerous grandchildren; siblings, Richard Hawn, Carol Jean Sine, James Hawn, Joseph Hawn, Steve Hawn, Patricia Hawn Peacock, Anna Albertson, Robert Hawn and Timothy Hawn and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 am on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Hope Assembly of God, 377 Old Dutch Mill Rd., Newfield ,NJ where friends will be received after 10:30 at the church. Military Honors will follow the service. Contributions in John's memory may be made to Hope Assembly of God. A private interment of John's cremains will be held privately at the Gloucester Co. Veteran Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by Evoy Funeral Home, North Cape May, NJ
