Mommom,
All I can hear is your laugh. It was the best laugh I’ve ever heard. No one could ever recreate it no matter how hard they try. It was loud and uncontrolled but filled with happiness. There were different versions of it but it was always your same special laugh. Contagious to everyone around. I remember times I could hear it from upstairs and I would be eager to run down and find out what you were laughing about. Probably about my mom losing something again or my dad snoring on the couch. It follows me around everywhere I go and I hope it stays that way forever, because it brings me joy in these tough moments. I’m going to miss your hugs. The way you embraced me tightly as you swayed us back and fourth. Sometimes you would even kiss me on the top of my head. Those were my favorite hugs. I miss you more then anything but I know that you’re still with me. You will always be the best Mommom. I love you so much.
- Ava

Mommom,
I will forever cherish our time together and the memories we made. From time spent at the shore playing horseshoes, cooking out on the deck, playing in the pool, and watching tv in the gazebo; to my times at your old home where you showered me with so much love. Thank you for always keeping me smiling, laughing, and cooking me all of your eggs. I love you

Mom,
Thoughts of my childhood are punctuated by two sentiments. I always felt loved and, surrounding yourself with loyal friends, and having fun should be priorities in one’s life. You taught me the importance of both. My memories are filled with laughter and fun experiences. You were tough when needed but always fair. You never let bad feelings linger. As I got older, you let me make my own mistakes and choose my own path in life without interference. You welcomed Nicole to our family and treated my children with such love and care. You were the ultimate role model. I will miss you greatly but remain ever grateful for the time we shared together in this life. You have my permission to contact me anytime from the other side. Until we reunite again, thank you for everything!

Mommom
I don't think I could ever put into the right words how much you mean to me but it's more than you could ever know. I am so grateful for the time that I got to spend with you and I wouldn't trade it for the world. You were an inspiration to all of us. You taught us all how to go through each day with a smile and always encouraged us to have fun and live our best life. You took such good care of us all and I'm glad I got to help you out when I could. Thank you for always being there to lean on. You were my best friend, my partner in crime, and I was your shadow since day one. You did absolutely everything for us and I couldn't be more grateful. I will miss your smile, your laugh, and every goofy thing you would say when you tried to say something but it wouldn't come out quite right. Whether it was intentional or not, you have never once failed to put a smile on my face. I will miss hearing your voice and calling you on the phone just to talk when I'm bored. I will miss your little quotes and sayings that you would always send me through Facebook. I will miss our card games, Yahtzee games, and Racko games and how every one made us laugh until our sides hurt. I will miss everything about you but I know you are dancing with your dance partner again and enjoying all of your favorite foods. Love you forever.
Madie

When the Fishtown girls were together, we knew it would be lots of fun and certainly Dolores was a key contributor to the laugh fest. Once things got rolling, when laughter began, eventually Dolores’ signature laughter would be heard and it was something else! If you heard it you never forgot it. Our friend will always be remembered as the great spirit she was. We loved her and know we will see each other again. ❤️

Dee: For 54 years you were my better half, my rock, my best friend, and the love of my life. You were a great Mom to our kids and a wonderful Mommom to our grand kids. Our time together ended much too soon, and I don't know how I'm going to make it without you. But you made me promise to look after everyone, including our dog Casey. I'll try. But you would have done a much better job of it than me. One day we'll be together again. Until then, I Love You Baby.

Dee, I can’t thank you enough for a lifetime of happy memories! I’m so unbelievably grateful that I am apart of your family. So many great times together from my childhood till now. Parties, Holidays, Showers, Weddings, Trips, Game nights, pinochle marathons, pool volleyball, horse shoes, bingo, BBQs, I could go on forever. The laugh, I will miss most of all! Just being around you made me happy. I got the best surrogate Mom a girl could ever ask for! Thanks for being my Mom’s best friend and rock. And mine too, when I needed you! You were one of a kind! I will keep your spirit alive and tell the funny stories over and over. Love you, Danielle

In my short time knowing you, you welcomed me with open arms and a big hug every time I came over. Brennan and I can’t help but attribute our relationship to you, since you did give him a pep talk the night of our first date. I’ll miss hearing “Miss Kay” and laughing with you at something Brennan is doing wrong. I hope you’re playing all the bingo and dancing with no pain. <3

Dear Mommom,
Thank you for the many laughs! Thank you for always making me different food than everyone else. Thank you for sharing your love of the shore with me. Some of the best times I had as a kid were under your roof. I’ll miss the chaos of all the families staying a weekend there. Nobody brought a bigger smile to my face than you! I love you and I miss you already

Mommom,
There’s no way to express in words how much I am going to miss you and no matter how many times I reword or rewrite this, it will never feel complete, but here it goes. Through all our times together, you taught me how to be a better person, how not to care about what other people think of me, how to laugh until my sides hurt, cherish my family and friends, and to make jokes even when times are tough. I’m going to miss calling you for a second opinion on food/cooking, fighting with you over moving the plant in your bathroom, making riddles for each other over cheap Christmas gifts (because we have both always been bad at keeping surprises), eating the best scrambled eggs to have ever graced this planet, and most of all, I’m going to miss the best hugs ever. Thank you for giving me my love for chocolate milk and always spoiling me, especially when my mom said no, but I could’ve done without the impulse buying you passed my way. Even if you’re shaking your fist at me from up in heaven, I’m still going to tell all of the funny and best stories about you for as long as I live because you always brought a smile to everyone’s face, whether you meant to or not, and I can’t help but share with everyone who my amazing Mommom was. I hope you’re up there eating everything you always loved, playing bingo on hundreds of cards at once, and breathing easy again. Thank you for everything. I love you.

Mom,
I miss you so much already. You were the best mom, mother-in-law, and mommom to me, John, Brennan & Madison. I am so grateful for all of the good memories that are helping us smile a little bit during this extremely difficult time. Family parties, vacations, shopping trips, card games, summer barbecues. So many times we laughed until it hurt. Thank you for taking care of us, for loving us, for always being there for us. I hope you are dancing again, free of pain and suffering, surrounded by all of your friends and family that you have been missing for so long. Love you always. Ciao!

I only knew Dolores from sitting next to her at Bingo @ St. John of God. She was a terrific player. We always knew the night was just about over when she would stand up & review her 50 cards. What a surprise to find out she graduated from Hallahan! So did I. Thoughts and prayers to the family at your time of loss. Christine Bailey

I am so fortunate to have had such a wonderful Mother-in-law for all these years and for my children to grow up knowing they were loved and thought about all the time.
You were loving and generous and so much fun to be around. Our times together always included jokes, funny stories and so many laughs!
We will miss you forever but will tell all the “stories” over and over again that were the best of you. We will laugh a lot and cry some too but we will keep your memory alive in our hearts always!
