Charles E. Rowe Sr., 79, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Violet, his children Charles E Rowe Jr (Carrie), Kelley Schmidt (Adam), Megan Newman (Gray), 8 grandchildren, siblings Thomas (Anne), James (Josie), Mary Rowe, John (Anita), and Suzanne Carson (Rudy). He is predeceased by his parents John and Florence (Dusel). He joined the Philadelphia Police Dept on October 4, 1965 and was assigned to the "Elite Highway Patrol" which he was a member for 28 years. He received many commendations and was a member of the Highway Patrol Drill Team. He was an avid fisherman and a life-long Eagles and Phillies fan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on January 10th, 2023 at St John of God, 680 Townbank Rd., North Cape May, NJ. Family and friends may call from 10-11am at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the HERO Scholarship Fund of Philadelphia, PO Box 282, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
