Obituary of Raymond J Giantomenico

Please share a memory of Raymond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Raymond J. Giantomenico, 67, Villas, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 5 at North Cape Center. Born October 4, 1955 in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Raymond J. and Adelaide (Remmler) Giantomenico. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Robert. Ray was honorably discharged from the US Army. He enjoyed listening to all types of music but mostly bands like Aerosmith and KISS. "Vacation Ray" as he was affectionately known, loved to travel with the Bahamas being his favorite. Despite his addiction early on, he became a proud 36 plus year member of AA, having been active in the Staten Island and Cape May County Chapters. He was faithful to his meetings and to those he sponsored throughout the years. He had an impact on many people's lives which was humbling for his continued sobriety. He is survived by his daughter Brianna Lynn Giantomenico; sister, Laure M. Giantomenico; niece Lisa Sheets; great nieces Courtney and Samantha; and great nephew Joseph; along with many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM December 2 at St. Raymond RC Church Villas. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10AM to 10:45AM at the church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May has been entrusted with arrangements.
