Gloria L. Chester, 65, Millsboro DE, entered into eternal rest Wednesday morning October 5 with her daughter Crystal by her side at her daughter's residence in Cape May Court House.
Born May 13, 1957 in Chester PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry Allen Gommer and Evelyn Gloria Anderson.
She grew up in Chester, PA and graduated from Chichester High School. She worked in the retail and grocery industry for many years. She was employed as a deli clerk for the former A&P grocery store until their closing. She then went on to work at Super Fresh, Stop and Shop, and Kmart.
Her hobbies included crafting, crotching, photography, shopping, and Facebook. The internet allowed her to reconnect and stay in touch with old classmates, friends and neighbors.
Family was the most important thing to Gloria. She nurtured and loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. She was unselfish and devoted to them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Christine and Evelyn; and brothers Danny, Chucky, and Teddy; and a niece Chrissy.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 24 years William "Bill" Chester; daughter Crystal Green; son John "Johnny" Barlow; grandsons Jayden, Jayvon, and Aiden; sister Gale Spivey and her husband Ricky and their children Jennifer and Ricky; brother-in-law Frank Yacona; great nieces and nephews Gabby, Dakota, Nina, and Maria.

A service of remembrance will be held at a later date. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ 08240 has been entrusted with arrangements.
