Obituary of Michael W. Robinson

Michael W. Robinson, age 67, departed this life on September 26, 2022 at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. Michael was a lifetime resident of Cape May County. Michael loved his job at Avalon Golf Club where he was employed for 30 years. Michael enjoyed music and was gifted with an amazing singing voice. He played in various bands throughout his lifetime, including a special guest singer with the Dan Marro Duo at The Avalon Links. Michael was knowledgeable in New Jersey Agriculture, he was a skilled mechanic, intelligent & patient, witty and comical. If you knew him you would say he was a "stand-up comedian". Michael enjoyed golf, travel, cars, sports, hunting, woodworking and slot machines. He also had a lifelong devotion to the Great Dane dog breed and passed that onto his sons. Michael is survived by his wife of 40 years, Phyllis (nee Hansen) Robinson, son's Michael, Jr. (Rose) Robinson and Zebulon (Ashley) Robinson, sister Margaret (Bob) Morgan, brother Steve (Pat) Robinson, six grandchildren, David, Dillon, Angelina, Abrianna, Wyatt and Olivia, extended family, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Joseph & Dora Robinson, brother Richard Robinson and sister Cheryl Ann Carey. A memorial gathering to be held at Avalon Links Restaurant, 1510 Route 9 N, Swainton, NJ 08210 on October 3, 2022 at 12:00 noon.
