George W. Parkin, Jr., 68, Wildwood, formerly of Philadelphia, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, August 30 at his residence. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Catherine M. and George W. Parkin. He was employed as a Mason/Bricklayer for Local 1 Pointers, Calkers and Cleaners for 20 years. He loved music, karaoke, sports and hanging out with his family especially his granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Mike (aka Harry) Levin and Joseph Levin; and his son's mother Elizabeth Sturgis. George is survived by his wife of 42 years Janice Parkin; sons George Parkin III (Megan), Jeffrey J. Parkin, and Paul S. Parkin; daughter Kathryn M. Parkin; granddaughters Alexis, Amber, and Sydney; siblings Jeffrey Parkin (Sue), Colette Boulton (David) and Sonia Neri; cousin Joseph Smith; many other cousins, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held from 1:30PM to 4:30PM Sunday, September 25 at the Mantua VFW 8 New York Ave Mantua Twp NJ 08051. Phone (856)468-8937.
