Michael Heaney, 74 years old, of Villas, NJ, and formerly Farmingdale, NY, passed away on August 13, 2022, at his home surrounded by his caring family. Michael was born in NYC to Charles and Ethel Heaney, who have preceded him in death. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda (nee Weisse), his son, Kevin, his daughters, Christina (Spencer) Witty and Jessica Williams; his brothers, Robert Heaney (Mary Ellen) and Charles Heaney (Dianna) and his sister, Anne Prodoti (Michael), many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and his dogs, Marcus, Molly and Kira. He graduated from Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School, Cardinal Hayes High School and Iona College. Michael had a successful career in information technology with JP Morgan Chase before retiring. Michael was a dedicated NY Rangers, Yankees and Giants fan. He coached hockey and enjoyed watching his children play sports. Michael was an avid golfer and very proud of his hole in one. Michael was a history buff and he was the go-to person in the family for anything technology related. Most importantly, Michael was a loving and supportive husband, father and friend and was loved by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's name to Autism Speaks or The Lustgarten Foundation.
