Patricia Della Vecchia, 89, Rio Grande, entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 6 at her home, in Victoria Commons, with her daughter Rene` by her side. Born September 16, 1932 in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the Pasquale and Mary (Colasante) Morroney. She was a member of Our Lady of Angels Roman Catholic Church, the Elks Club in the Villas and enjoyed gardening & sewing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Albert (2001); daughter Sharon (2016); and a son-in-law Robert Capua (2019). She is survived by her daughter Rene` Capua. Patricia was married to her loving husband Albert Della Vecchia for 46 years. She was a loving and devoted mother to Rene` and Sharon. Patricia had a big heart. She cared for all of the special children at Divine Providence Village. She would visit the Divine Village, weekly, with clothing and donations for all of the children. Patricia would tailor and hem the dresses for the girls, making sure that their outfits fit perfectly! Patricia had many friends and she will be sorely missed….. Graveside services at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Cape May will be held 11AM Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Rev. Miles Barrett, Off. Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Divine Providence Village, 686 Old Marple Road, Springfield, PA 19064 - in honor of Sharon Della Vecchia.
