Obituary of John Thomas Lincoln

John Thomas (Jake) Lincoln, age 81, of North Cape May, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2022. John was born in Darby, PA to Russell P. Lincoln, Jr and Helene M. Lincoln. He attended high school at Monsignor Bonner in Upper Darby, PA. His summers were spent as a lifeguard on the Cape May Beach patrol. He served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. He enjoyed scuba diving and had his own Dive Shop in N. Cape May on Beach Drive. He also served as Mayor of Lower Township, NJ. He worked for the NJ Turnpike Authority for many years before he retired. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge of Cape May and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his daughter, Beth Oswald (Loren) of Springfield, PA, his brother James Lincoln of Galloway, NJ, his sister Geraldine Pietras of Cape May, NJ, his brother Robert Lincoln (Judy) of Hernando, FL. Also, his niece Elaine Lincoln of Rutherford, NJ, his niece Wendy Licolli (Vince) of Galloway, NJ, his niece Lynn Lincoln of Estell Manor, NJ, his nephew Peter Pietras (Stacie) of Salisbury, MD, his nephew Russell Lincoln of Tampa, FL. He is predeceased by his wife Helen Lincoln, daughter Susan Lincoln, mother Helene Lincoln and father Russell P. Lincoln Jr. and brother Russell P. (Terry) Lincoln III. Memorial donations may be sent to the Cold Spring Church, Cold Spring, NJ. Services will be held at the Cold Spring Church, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 11AM.
