I feel odd referring to Althea Becker as anything other then "Tommy's Mom". For i know she was a loving wife to the late Big John. A mother to a trio of exceptional women. A doting grandmother to a score of grandchildren. And perhaps most significantly, I know firsthand that she was an incredibly kind soul who made everyone around her feel warm, and happy. But for me, she was and will always be affectionately known as "Tommy's Mom". Tommy was one of my closest and best friends growing up. And boy does it hurt my heart having heard of this incredibly sad news. I could list one hundred and one stories and examples of Tommy's Moms kindness and generosity. But to do so would only make my heart hurt that much more. I will say this, however: other then my own mother, Tommy's Mom showed me a tremendous amount of love and support in some of the most pivotal years of my life. And for that, i will forever be grateful. Sending all my love and strength to her beautiful family and friends in this most difficult time.
