Kellie Blair Cunningham (1961-2022)
Kellie Blair Cunningham (60) of Villas, NJ passed away on January 18, 2022. Kellie was born on July 14, 1961 in Princeton, NJ to Margaret and Robert Cunningham. Kellie grew up in East Windsor, NJ and graduated from Hightstown High School in 1979. She then attended Wheaton College in Norton, MA where she majored in English and graduated in 1983. Following college, Kellie lived in Boston, MA and San Diego, CA. After marrying, the Navy took the family to Everett, WA, Chesapeake, VA, and Willow Grove/Hatboro, PA.
In her early years, Kellie was a creative organizer of Brooktree neighborhood activities. She was also a longtime member of 4-H where she won many awards for her sewing. In school, she was a flute and piccolo player in the Kreps and HHS bands and a member of the high school Drill Team. Kellie was a very creative person who could make something lovely out of almost anything. She was an excellent cook, especially excelling in freshly baked bread and homemade soup. A kind and giving soul with a quick wit, Kellie relished a well-placed pun, a spectacular sunrise/sunset, walks on the beach, beautiful music, and animals. Kellie believed in the power of nature to heal mind, body, and soul- as can be seen in many of the pictures she took.
Kellie loved contributing her talents to help others. Whether she was chaperoning school field trips or volunteering to support her kid's various extracurricular activities, Kellie enriched the lives of so many who knew and loved her. True to her desire to assist others, she became a self-employed companion to the elderly- an occupation that she was very passionate about. As Einstein said, "Only a life lived in service for others is a life worthwhile." Kellie believed in this philosophy wholeheartedly.
Kellie is survived by her children, Aubrie Rose Davis of Villas, NJ and Austin Miller Davis of Philadelphia, PA; her parents, Margaret and Robert Cunningham of Gore, VA; her sister, Corey Cunningham Fischer and her husband, Joseph Fischer, III of Woodberry Forest, VA and nephew, Steven Joseph Fischer of Asheville, NC.
The family is planning a private service.
