Obituary of Thomas Gilmore

Thomas Gilmore, 85, of Villas, NJ passed away on February 3, 2022. Thomas was born and raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia before moving to Cape May County 27 years ago. Thomas also proudly served our country in the US Army. He was currently employed as a bridge operator at the Cape May County Bridge Commission and at the Elks of North Wildwood #1896 where he was a member. Thomas was a lifetime member of the Kensington Ramblers Boys and Girls Club in Philadelphia. He was also a member of other local organizations including the Villas Fishing Club, the VFW, and the Moose Lodge in North Wildwood. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Emerald Society. Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and fishing. He is preceded in death by his wife Ida Mae (Cipparone) Gilmore, sons, baby Gilmore, Michael, and Mark. Thomas is survived by his children: Thomas, Patricia Kirwan, Kathleen (Mark) Shepherd, Marlene (David) Andrews, Ronald (Jennifer) Gilmore, Donna (James) Anderson, Jenny (Joseph) Lowry, 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and his sister, Elizabeth McGlynn. A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 9-11am at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ with a service to follow at 11am. Burial will immediately follow at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.EvoyFuneralHome.com
