I always remember Helen asking, “Do you know how old I am?” She was a character and always made me smile.

Dear mom, I love you DEARLY & miss you SO MUCH & always will. You were a wonderful mother/ homemaker/ friend/ prayer warrior/ guiding light/ & traveling partner. Ty for giving me life, & for having helped me throughout my life in innumerable ways. I'll continue to highly value the legacy of love you left me & the things you lovingly taught me: how to tie my shoes/ how to tell time/ how to count back change/ & the multiplication table. Ty for having spent hrs caring for me when I was layed-up for 3 mos w/a broken leg. You got me my 1st "real" job while I was still in high school, afterwhich you personally escorted me by train to Philly to help me find a Philly job. You were a wonderful co-worker when we waitressed together, during which I was proud to tell customers "She's my mom!". You & daddy helped me w/my different apt moves, & you faithfully did my laundry for me all throughout the "no W/D" yrs of my life, all of which I'm SO GRATEFUL for. Our trips together & the fun we had will be amongst my most treasured memories. And I'll miss our annual Christmas get-aways to Lancaster & Longwood Gardens...Thankyou for your WONDERFUL examples of: Reading your Bible DAILY/ praying twice a day/ FAITHFULLY attending church/ & fellowshipping with those of like faith...The words on your GraveMarker will be: "Absent from the body./Present w/the Lord."~ a truth which is the only reason I'll be able to survive until I see you again in heaven.
LOVE ALWAYS, Carol XOXOX

So many things I learned from you and bill running on the rescue squad, not just medical training but true compassion for people having problems. You were an inspiration to so many, giving of your time and knowledge. Now you can rest and give bill a hug from me.

Dear Carol,
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your dear Mom. Your tribute was beautiful! You may not remember me, but we worked together
at Zabrere’s Restaurant, in 1978. I never forgot how sweet you were and really enjoyed our friendship that summer.
Praying that all your cherished memories of your Mom will provide you with comfort and peace.
With deepest sympathy,
Carmela (Recupero) Mattison
