Florence E Kratz, age 87, of Sea Isle City passed away peacefully Friday, December 6, 2013 at Eastern Shore N. H. of Swainton, NJ. Florence was born January 9, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA.; and has been a Cape May area resident for 45 years. She worked as a book binder for Oxford Book Bindery in Philadelphia early in her career, then later as an assistant chef at the Deauville Inn in Strathmere, NJ and Garrity's in Sea Isle City, NJ. Florence was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cape May Court House VFW and she belonged to and served as treasurer of the Sea Isle City VFW. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary and her son Jack. Florence is survived by her daughters: Barbara, Bonnie, & Donna; her sons: Thomas, Edward, & Raymond; and her sister Jessie McAvoy.
