Thomas Charles Vanaman, age 56, of Erma and lifelong resident of Lower Township, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Cape Regional Medical Center with his family by his side. He was a local commercial fisherman for many years until he found his passion for landscaping. Tom worked for Hall's Landscaping then formed his own company, Vanaman's Lawn Care. He will be forever remembered by his family and friends for his loving heart and good humor. Even in his final days, he was able to bring laughter into the lives of everyone who surrounded him. Thomas is survived by his loving wife Heidi (nee Lear); stepchildren Andrew Rott and Heidi Howell; his parents Dorothy J and Robert E Vanaman, Sr.; and his siblings Brenda (Andy) Ridgway, Robert Jr. (Paula) Vanaman, Pamela Vanaman, David (Kim) Vanaman, and Alice DiCola. He was predeceased by his brother Donald Vanaman, Sr. Memorial Services will be held at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204 on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204.
