Obituary of Ida May McCabe

Ida McCabe (nee Kelly), age 66, of Villas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2013; after a long courageous battle with cancer. Ida was the wife of the late James (Shamus) McCabe. She moved from Philadelphia to Villas, NJ in 1990. Ida was employed by Dr. Park and currently worked for Dr. Onwuka of Villas. She was an active member in the Knights of Columbus, the Moose Lodge of Villas, the Villas Fishing Club, and was a member of St Raymond's RC Church. Ida loved playing shuffleboard and was also known as a "Geator Gold Dancer". She loved line dancing and spending time with her friends. Ida was predeceased by her parents James E Kelly and Ida M Kelly (nee Morris). She is survived by her children: Kellyann (Rick), James (Jacque), and Kristi (Donny) White. Also surviving are her four grandchildren: Courtney, Lauren, Bella, and Jason; her sister Edith Otis of Lancaster, PA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. There will be a viewing from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, December 6, 2013 and again from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204. Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St Raymond's RC Church, Bayshore & Ocean, Villas, NJ 08251. Interment will follow at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
