Obituary of James A. Cummings

Cummings, James A., age 90, of Cape May, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021. James was born in Philadelphia to the late Alex J. and Mabel (nee Johnson) Cummings. He had worked for the United States Postal Service in Philadelphia and after he retired from there, he worked in security for Sears in Philadelphia. James was a member of the US Marine Corp and served in Korea and was a member of The Chosin Few Veterans Organization and he was also a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea. James loved reading, going to the beach and spending time with his family. James is predeceased by his parents, his wife Margaret "Peggy" Ann (nee Baker) Cummings and is survived by his children; James A. (Cynthia) Cummings, Jr. and Christopher E. (Irene) Cummings, his 5 Grandchildren; James A. Cummings, III, Kevin Cummings, Rebecca (Ryan Smith), Sarah (Job) Suender and Christopher E. Cummings, Jr., and 3 Great Grandchildren; Julie and Vincent and Hayden. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held for James. Condolences can be shared at www.EvoyFuneralHome.com.
