Leonard, Mark, age 58 of Erma, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021. Born in, and formerly of, Philadelphia, Mark has been an area resident since 1986. He graduated Class of 1980 from Archbishop Ryan High School, and went on to serve with the Army National Guard during Operation Desert Storm, humanitarian efforts in Honduras, and cleanup efforts after the attacks on 9/11. Mark worked as a marine mechanic, and was a member of Stella Maris Home Association, Moose Lodge, DAV, and VFW in Villas. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and motorcycling, but above all else being a loving husband and father. He is predeceased by his father Francis Leonard and brother Stephen Leonard. Mark is survived by his wife Sundi, children Dylan (Shawnee) Leonard, Matthew Leonard, and Sundi Renae Leonard, granddaughter Ada Leonard, mother Katherine Tully Leonard, sisters Karen Doyle and Cathy Leonard, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held for family and friends from 6pm-8pm on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N Cape May; a graveside service will be held the following day, Friday, April 16, 2021, 11am at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd., Cape May Court House.
