Cherry, Kathryn, age 85 of Ventnor, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021. Born in Philadelphia to William and Marie McNamara. Kathryn worked as a chambermaid for Port Royal Hotel in Wildwood, and also as a caregiver for a local family. She enjoyed going to the casinos, bowling, watching sports (especially Philadelphia teams). She also enjoyed getting together with her school classmates, Cape May High Class of 1953, doing luncheons together. Kathryn is predeceased by her parents, husband Albert W. Cherry, son James W. Cherry, granddaughter Kathryn V. Cherry and grandson James A. Cherry. She is survived by her daughters Kathryn E. Cherry and Tracey R. Cherry, grandchildren Daniel, Julia and Rob Toledo, Mary Smulski and Kristi Jones, and great-grandchildren Anna, Lilly, and John. A memorial service for Kathryn will be held at 2pm on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N Cape May; friends may call one hour prior to service from 1pm-2pm.
