SICILIA, Stella Marie (Montemuro), age 100, formerly of North Wildwood NJ passed peacefully away to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 14, 2021. She was born on May 14, 1920, second to the youngest of five children during the Great Depression. She graduated from Frankford High School in Philadelphia and worked as a secretary for Personal Finance Bank. During that time, she met her future husband, Louis Sicilia who was serving as a Pharmacist's Mate in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Upon his return after the war, they were married at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Philadelphia on May 10, 1947. They moved to North Wildwood and built a permanent family home on 24th Street. There, they raised five children and Stella devoted her life as a loving, full time wife and mother to them. Stella had many talents including cooking, sewing, upholstery, auto repair, and yoga which she loved to share with her family. She was predeceased by her Loving husband Louis Arthur Sicilia. Stella is survived by her 5 children and their spouses: Eugene and Rita Sicilia, Mary and Robert Benson, Christine and Eric Krantz, Rosemary and Thomas Love and Janine and Jeffery Baker; Grandchildren: Danielle Lyman, Marissa Love, Lauren Johnston, Claire Dyer and Louis Sicilia; 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A private service was held by the family through Evoy Funeral Homes, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of the Angels Church in Cape May Court House on January 18th. Her interment followed the Mass at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery where she was laid to rest next to her husband. She will be greatly missed for her spunky attitude and great outlook on life. She was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her. Her love of music, dancing, food and celebration has been passed on to those who will continue to celebrate in her honor every day.
